WRONG PHOTOGRAPHY
This is a technique in which the process of taking the image is rushed or not as carefully planned out but the results of the wrong photography could possibly look interestingly good.

PICTURE SCAVENGER HUNT
The following images were taken in different areas of the school. I took five different types of images(colourful, edges, viewpoints, texture and rule of thirds).

IMPROVEMENTS:
The following images are all unedited pictures that I took but did not use for any editing as they were not sufficient enough. I have further analysed what went wrong and how I could improve in the future.
I took this image at the start of my photography course in the style of Carol Sharp. I did not use this image as it was not in focus and wasn't very sharp which is one of the best qualities of her work. I tried to capture the brightness of the flowers. However, I did edit it to sharpen the image and intensify the colours of the bees and flowers. After editing this, I still found that the image looked blurred and slightly pixelated in a way due to the lack of consideration towards the positing of the camera.
This image was taken in bright natural lighting to reflect the authenticity of Pirjo Keene's photographs. When editing the image, my original idea was to lighten the whole image to make it more pastel but when I started editing , I found that the image began to look quite ashy and blurry. Then I wanted to highlight and sharpen the image by using the dodge tool and filters but due to the image already having an ashy cast over it, it didn't look very focused and it looked quite

Light photography
Light photography is a technique which is achieved by moving a hand-held light sources and capturing a photograph of it whilst the camera has a long exposure. Another way in which light photography could be used is my holding the light source still but moving camera in certain shapes which will result in a drawing made of light. We attempted this technique of photography at school but our results where very controversial throughout the class.
Due to this being the first time I had tried a more advanced photography technique, I found it quite challenging to produce an image which was of a good quality and standard. Although we were able to draw shapes with the light source, the abstract drawing produced were not very blurry and they were of a poor resolution. Here are some examples of the images we took:

When looking at these images, I can see the shapes we attempted to create around certain subjects like flowers and bottles. However, I can also see how poor the resolution is which really downgrades the light photography we tried to achieve. If I were to repeat this technique in the future, I would definitely use a camera and make the timing of the camera even longer to allow me to draw a clear and precise shape with the light source. Also when doing this technique, we didn't really try moving the iPad instead of the light source so I would also try this method to see if the resolution would be higher. I would also spend a lot more time and care with capturing the images as the last time I tried this method, there were limited amount of certain supplies like glow sticks so our time taking the photographs was very limited which could have contributed to the poor quality of the images as well.

Macro photography
Macro photography is a technique in which extreme close-up photographs are taken, usually of small subjects in order to capture the fine details. Here are some examples of my macro photography images:
|
In order to take these images, I used a proper camera which helped me take extreme close-ups without risk of blurriness or poor quality. I am quite pleased with the way these images turned out as I was able to capture the raindrops and small veins on the leaves. However, if I was to use macro photography again, I would definitely try zooming even further into the image in order to take my macro photography skills even further. Also, I would consider using a tripod in order to zoom in further with an even clearer resolution.
